ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Providers (EESPs) work with ComEd customers to identify and implement energy efficiency improvements, and help them receive program incentives, discounts, and rebates.

Whether you’re a seasoned Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP) looking to grow your revenue stream or a new service provider who wants help navigating the energy efficiency sector, we offer free tools and tailored support to help your business succeed in the field.

New EESPs | Service providers interested in joining the EESP Network

We’ll help you navigate the process to become part of the EESP Network and develop plans to grow your business in energy efficiency. By joining the network via MDI we’ll support you in the following ways:

  • EESP application process and completion.
  • Diverse business certification. ComEd will cover application fees and provide step-by-step coaching on the process.
  • Business planning. Develop a tailored growth plan to grow your business in energy efficiency.
  • Financing, accounting and tax. Learn abut project financing that can increase your cashe flow.
  • Marketing assistance. Market your organization as an official EESP.
  • Training. Receive program-specific training and technical support on administering energy efficiency rebates.
  • Mentorship, webinars, connections and more.

Participation Criteria

  • Candidates should perform services in one or more of the following:
    • Compressed Air
    • Electrical
    • General Contracting
    • HVAC
    • Refrigeration
    • Weatherization (insulation, air sealing)
  • Businesses must be registered and in good standing with the state of Illinois.
  • Must be insured in accordance with minimum state requirements.

We’ll meet you where you are to support and grow your business. From a business growth plan to providing needed back-office support, we’ll equip you with the necessary tools to help your business grow and run efficiently.

  • Get help obtaining or renewing ICC, diverse business, and other industry certifications.
  • Develop a tailored growth plan for your business.
  • Access financing, accounting and tax support.
  • Market your organization as an official EESP, trained in the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Receive program-specific training and technical support on administering energy-efficiency rebates.
  • Get general administrative staffing support.
  • Mentorship, webinars, connections and more.
