Energy Efficiency Service Provider Network Participation

We know it can be difficult breaking into energy-efficiency, which is why the Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP) Network participation plays a key role in MDI. EESP’s identify and implement energy-efficiency improvements for our customers. With your participation in MDI via the EESP Network, we will provide the needed tools and resources for diverse service providers to meaningfully engage in this growing space.

Whether you’re an existing ComEd EESP trying to get the most from the program, or a service provider looking to join the EESP Network, we’re here to help. We’ll tailor our support to fit what your company needs.

Prospective EESPs | Service providers interested in joining the EESP Network

We’ll help you navigate the application process and develop plans to grow your business in energy efficiency. ComEd EESPs work with ComEd customers to identify and implement energy-efficiency improvements and receive program incentives, discounts, and rebates. By becoming a participating EESP, you can:

  • Market your organization as an official ComEd EESP, trained in the processes and procedures of the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Apply for energy-efficiency incentives on behalf of the customer—offering them an attractive turnkey solution.
  • List your business in a directory of EESPs.
  • Promote your company using marketing materials.
  • Receive program-specific training and technical support on administering energy-efficiency rebates.
  • Attend webinars to stay informed on relevant topics.
  • Receive informative newsletters featuring case studies and important industry updates.
  • Connect directly with outreach personnel for guidance and assistance.
  • Qualify for awards and recognition as a top-performing EESP.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to participate, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • Trades: ideal candidates perform services in one or more of the following:
    • Compressed Air
    • Electrical
    • General Contracting
    • HVAC
    • Refrigeration
    • Weatherization (insulation, air sealing)
  • Good Standing: registered and in good standing with the state of Illinois.
  • Insurance: insured in accordance with minimum state requirements.
